How to add some Festive Cheer to your bathroom

The bathroom is often a room which is neglected when it comes to Christmas decorations. But that needn’t be the case, as there are plenty of easy and cost-effective ways in which you can inject some festive fun into your bathroom.

Wreaths are always popular at this time of year, but they don’t have to be limited to your front door. Add one to your bathroom for a festive touch. The great thing about wreaths is that you can get them in any colour or style you want, so you can find one that matches your current bathroom décor. Hang from the door, drape over the mirror or display on a storage unit for maximum impact.

If you are lucky enough to have some extra space in your bathroom, you could add a Christmas tree. Invest in a small artificial tree and perch it on top of a vanity unit to bring some Christmas cheer to the room. For something more subtle that will last the entire season, opt for natural elements. Eucalyptus, pine cones and mistletoe will create a rustic, wintery vibe in your bathroom.

If space is tight, try adding accessories in red, green and metallic tones, as a subtle nod to the festive season. Switch up your towels for the season, add Christmas ornaments to the windowsill or shelving and hang baubles from vanity handles.

Create a calming Christmas atmosphere in your bathroom using candles and toiletries. Festive scents include cinnamon, ginger, spiced orange, mulled wine, forest pine and winter berries. Light a beautiful scented candle, put on the festive music and relax in your bath to soak away the stress.

Final Take!

Whether you go all-out with your bathroom decorations or opt for a more subtle approach, make sure that your décor is unique and personal to you.
