Bathroom Trends for 2021

BATHROOM TRENDS FOR 2021

As we say goodbye to the strange and unpredictable year that was 2020, we are taking a look forward to 2021 and going through some of the bathroom trends which we are predicting for the new year.

Bold Colours

In recent years muted grey tones have been the on-trend shade, and whilst this is still popular, in 2021 we will see a rise in the popularity of bold colours. Think pops of pink, blue and green in both tiles and bathroom furniture to add some fun to your room. If you are searching for a specific shade, some of our baths, basins and radiators can come in any RAL colour, so you can customise your furniture to match your colour scheme.

Taps

2021 looks set to become the year of the funky tap, as matte black and brushed brass versions are becoming increasingly popular. Brushed brass taps add a warmth to bathroom schemes, whereas matte black ones add a cool, industrial feel. This is an incredibly easy and cost effective way to give your room a fresh new look for the new year.

Eco-Friendly Focus

In recent years there has been a huge focus on sustainable living and the bathroom world is no different, as customers are now placing more importance on choosing eco-friendly products. Rimless toilets are therefore on-trend for 2021. Rimless toilets are exactly what they sound like- simply toilets without a rim. Not only does this make for easier cleaning, but these toilets are more eco-friendly due to a flushing technique which uses a smaller volume of water.

Natural Elements

We all spent much more time than usual inside our homes in 2020, and this appears to have had an influence in bathroom trends as “bringing the outside in” is a big trend for this year. This is echoed in the choice of Dulux Colour of the year for 2021. The colour is Brave Ground, a neutral shade described as one that “connects back to nature and the simple things.” Bringing nature into your bathroom can be achieved by using wooden, brick, slate or marble elements.

Spa- Like Luxury

2020 saw a huge focus on mindfulness and self-care, and we are now viewing our bathrooms as an essential space in which to relax. It comes as no surprise then that customers are trying to create a spa-like feel in their own homes. This can be done by using marble-effect tiles, sleek, clean designs and by installing luxurious walk in showers or free-standing baths
