En-suites are becoming increasingly popular in self builds here in Northern Ireland and further afield.
The team at Just Tiles N Bathrooms in Ballymena have seen lots of different ensuite designs over the years and its inspired us to share some of our tricks of the trade to ensure you’re making the most of this typically small space.
1. Corner Basins
Corner basins are a great way to save precious space in your ensuite bathroom. They’re practical, get the job done and leave you with more space for other furniture.

2. Streamline your sanitary ware
In a smaller space it’s important to plan ahead and streamline your sanitary ware. Opting for a countertop washbasin can be an excellent way to save space and when matched with a toilet can look very tidy. We love the

3. Work with your ceiling angles
It’s important to think about the layout of your ensuite, particularly if your home is a story and half which can present some awkward angles. Locating smaller, lesser-used bathroom features in the eaves section is a smart way to make the most use of space. Bespoke fitted furniture can also help fill in the gaps.
4. Make use of mirrors
It may sound simple but the addition of a mirror can change the look and feel of a small en-suite bathroom. A large mirror above a basin will have the same effect as a large window. This
Astrid Beam Gold Illuminated mirror is one of our favourites.
