Different types of tiles – where do they work best?

There are so many different tiles that sometimes choosing the right one can feel a bit like a minefield.

Here’s a little info about a few of them so you feel prepared for your next project!

1. Carrara Tiles

Carrara is a type of marble tile that often comes in white or  a bluish-grey.

With linear veins, Carrara marble tile is often dramatic in texture and richness and looks wonderful in bathrooms like this one in our showroom.

2. Concrete Effect Tiles

Concrete effect tile come in tones ranging from light to dark. There are various formats available, including extra-large sizes. Concrete effect tiles offer a stylish, minimalist look and are perfect for the kitchen.

3. Patterned Tiles

Patterned tiles can be personalised and customised for you. They brighten up a space and come in a range of colours and styles. They great for behind your kitchen counters.

4. Choose Large Format Tiles for an Uncluttered Design

Semi-polished tiles use elaborate techniques to achieve a polished surface. The tile is lightly polished, using the same process as polished porcelain. However the layer of glaze is very thin in comparison to a full polish finished tile. They’re a classic and perfect if you’re not sure if you want a full gloss tile.
